The Bear Heritage Retro Model
This is the definitive “Loggers” longboard. Works best over 9’ 6”, and up to 10’ 3”. I put plenty of width into this template, keep the nose rocker low, and the tail rocker standard.... all this leads to a very, very stable board, that catches waves easily and “Glides” like a dream. It performs well for it’s size, and noserides are excellent with the correct fin.
Suitable for:
The Seasoned Traditional Longboarder
Beginers who need a stable surfboard to get into Longboarding
Anyone who wants an extra board in their quiver for those small summer days
Performs best in Wave Sizes 1 to 6 feet ( Head High )

The Bear Performance Noserider Model ( 9’ 1” to 9’ 3” )
This template has been worked and re worked by me over many years, it is my board of choice for waves over chest high. I keep the nose wide and the widest point of the board back a little from centre and with the board shaped as a pintail this makes for a very tight turning longboard indeed. Big Turns, Smooth Cutties and plenty of “Tip Time” are what you can expect from this Mal’
Suitable for:
The surfer who wants to perform, but is not into contests
Anyone who can catch a “Green Wave” and do a bottom turn
If you can only have one long board in your quiver.... it should be this one!
Performs best in Wave Sizes 3 to 8 feet

The Bear Wombat (6' 4" up to 6' 8" )
This board was designed by Paul Hutchinson, and riden in the early days exclusively by Beau Young. It is a “Longboarders Shortboard”. Flat and wide, full template, it just flies in those not quite perfect days that we in the UK tend to get plenty of. Comes with Box and Sides so all sorts of fin configurations are possible. For a short board the Wombat catches waves very early.
Suitable for:
The Longboarder who struggles to get on with a normal short board
Any surfer who wants a “Retro” feel to their short boarding
Goes well in less than perfect conditions
Performs best in Wave Sizes 2 to 6 feet

All of the above boards are available in an ALL WOODEN HOLLOW FORMAT..... these wooden boards still surf OK, and are not just for hanging on a wall..... But they do look very good on your wall too!
