Does this naturally beautiful part of Ireland ‘need’ income from marina developments!? If local governments stopped to think for a while they’d realise that the more rural undeveloped areas around the world are what really pull in the right kind of bucks from the right type of tourist. We need to nurture the sustainable income from folk that appreciate the best things in life…which are of course, free (and cheap & easy to maintain). No petrol heads thanks…no marina/harbour development thanks.

I guess it’s important to do a comprehansive assessment that there will be no risk of impact to the wave. You couldn’t build a wave of this quality for millions which is what some people are spending in other parts of the world on building waves.
