I never used to give much thought to surf wax. As long as it was sticky and easy to rub on,
life was all good. That is until I learned that nearly all surf waxes on the market are made with
petroleum. Not all good. So I went looking for a more earth-friendly wax and found GreenSurf.
This stuff is made from a cocktail of all natural materials including clay, beeswax, and tree sap.
It’s biodegradable, non-toxic and most importantly, it works. Rubbing it on a brand new board,
the wax created those perfect little nubbins (even without using a basecoat) and stayed plenty
tacky for the entire session. The scent of the wax is tough to place – some sort of a tropical
flower probably – but it smells so good it made me wanna eat my single-fin.
