Do artificial surfing reefs actually work?

Damn right they do. Check this one that reef engineers ASR just built in India.

    Shame the Boscombe reef didn’t work out quite so well… no sign of a ASR promo video featuring that anywhere is there?

    Also a shame the money intended to help the victims of the 2004 tsunami was used to build this despite the protests of 5000 church goers and the concern over 500 local fishermans jobs. Also considering the reef was sold as protection from future tsunamis when the area it was installed had much less damage than other areas and a few puny sandbags will never stop a tsunami.
