‘The Art of Surf: An Art History of British Surfing’ exhibition opens at the Fishing Heritage Centre in Grimsby on the east coast of the UK on June 28th and runs through until September 7th, 2008.
On display is a wonderful collection of surfboards and memorabilia featuring some spectacular art spanning more than a century.
In addition, visitors will be able to test their skills on a genuine 1970s surfing pinball game which has just come into The Surfing Museum’s collection.
The Fishing Heritage Centre is a must-see for anyone who loves the ocean – a great example of a modern ‘living’ museum that tells an amazing story of those who have made their living from the sea over the centuries.
