On October 13 & 14, along with display booths representing virtually every major American surfboard company, the Sacred Craft Consumer Surfboard Expo will be holding a first-of-its-kind series of panel discussions.

Moderated by former surf magazine editor Sam George, panel members will directly address the audience on a variety of hot topics. Each panel discussion will include some of the biggest names in surfboard design and manufacturing. Surfers will hear from legendary shapers like Al Merrick, Rusty Preisendorfer, Gary Linden, and Mickey Munoz, as well as new millennium stars like Matt Biolos and Timmy Patterson. Fin talk with Mark Stavron, Tyler Callaway, Jimmy Robertson, Mike Caldwell and Larry Allison, color schemes by Drew Brophy, and the latest in new manufacturing techniques from Boardworks, Firewire, and others.

The surfboard industry is experiencing a period of major innovation and creativity – so why just read about it? If you’ve even wondered what difference there is between extruded and expanded polystyrene foam, when a fin’s foil affects a bottom turn, why they’re building boards in Vietnam and even how to paint your own surfboard, you’ll want to sit in on these exclusive panel discussions.
