Project BLUE, a US initiative established for the sole purpose of raising more than $1 million in support of ocean and beach protection, has partnered with online surf retailer swell.com. Products that will make up the complete project BLUE offering include Billabong board shorts, DAKINE backpacks, Electric sunglasses, Nixon watches and Reef sandals.
“We choose Swell because it is a natural fit for project BLUE and its partners,” states Vipe Desai, project BLUE founder. “Swell is a leader in online sales for the surf industry and we are excited to extend project BLUE to its online customers.”
“Our customers want to do their part to support the environment. When the opportunity was created by project BLUE to offer innovative products where a portion of the sales are contributed to The Surfrider Foundation, I knew we had to get involved,” notes Michael Goldberg, VP of Marketing at Swell. “Now that I have seen the product, I know this project will be a huge success.”
Reef and Electric products are currently available for purchase on swell.com with the remaining project BLUE collections not far behind. DAKINE, Nixon and Billabong will be available at the end of July.
