Between 1-8th June, six participating restaurants throughout Cornwall will be asking its customers to add a £1 donation to their final bill in support of the work of SAS and their campaign for clean and safe recreational water for everyone. The campaign has been launched in the week leading up to World Oceans Day, celebrated on the 8th June.
The ‘SAS Food for Thought’ fundraiser is just one of many events throughout the UK to mark World Ocean’s Day which encourages individuals to celebrate our world ocean and our personal connection with the sea.
“It’s up to each one of us to help ensure that our ocean is protected and conserved for future generations and by making a donation to SAS through our ‘Food for Thought’ fundraiser, customers from the participating restaurants will be making a significant investment,” says SAS Fundraiser, Siobhan Keyes.
Participating restaurants include:
· Alba Restaurant, St Ives
· Revival, Charlestown
· Gylly Beach Café, Falmouth
· Sandsifter, Gwithian, Hayle
· Flying Fish Restaurant at St Michaels Hotel, Falmouth
· The Sands Brasserie and Bar at Headland Hotel, Newquay
