Kirra-bunga, dude! The Quik Pro Final.

Pretty darn good final for the ASP’s first event of the year, the Quik Pro GoldCoast. They shifted the event to Kirra for the final day and the last two cards in the pack were World Champion Joel Parkinson and a guy named Kelly Slater.

“It’s not 1995,” said Joel Parkinson, referring to the best Kirra he can remember, but there were still plenty of “fun ones” – i.e. barrels aplenty.

And though this highlights reel doesn’t do it justice, the final was certainly one for the ages. High tension. Impeccable surfing. Massive scores.

In any other event, almost every wave ridden would have been a 10.
