Gold Coast Heating Up

For those who follow the pros, the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast, Australia is reaching its pointy end today.

The surf’s been rough and ragged but there’s plenty of swell and, as the event reaches its final day, there are four guys still standing – Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Kelly Slater and absolutely on-fire Tahitian Michel Bourez.

Say what you will about the corporate competitive surf scene, it’s one hell of a showcase for the ever morphing art of  riding waves.
